After having lived together 14 years, Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis finally officially broke up. Through a publicist released a written statement to the NY Daily News, the couple who have been blessed with two children were said to have parted on good terms.

"Please respect their privacy and, more importantly, the privacy of her children," the publicist added.

This official statement was to answer the speculation about the breakup of their love over the past months. Depp and Vanessa is rumored to live apart after Depp decided to move from France to Los Angeles.

On January 2012, People magazine reported rift between them. It was triggered by the fact that they no longer perform together on the red carpet for a year.

In May last, Depp had dismissed the news breaking affair with Vanessa. Depp says that all was not right.

Meanwhile, Vanessa is interviewed at separate times said he did not like the phrase 'soul mate' because it made him very afraid. According to him, as the same as a soul mate marriage contract.

"I believe in love, and trying to believe it will last forever. But I also like other people, you never know what will happen next. All you can do is hope, love and life, "he said.

Depp and Vanessa first met in 1998. Although he has had two children, Lily-Rose and Jack, the two agreed not to bring their relationship into marriage.
